Well, that’s over.
Microsoft have talked a big talk -90mins worth-
and it’s all out now, some of the games, some new features and some incredible awkward moments.
The event began with an eye-opener, Komani’s flagship game franchise in past few years is coming to Xbox One,but was this unexpected? I found this, yes to be a surprise, but not unexpected.
With the release of Metal Gear Solid HD Collection on both Xbox and PS3, it was a given Metal Gear Solid 5 would be coming to both consoles.
Check out the game-play demo of MGS5, if you haven’t seen it, or want to watch it again.
After the Metal Gear Solid gameplay demo, a newer design of the Xbox 360 was shown, this looked more like the Xbox One than the “older” Xboxs.
Microsoft announced the new design is available today, and that Gold membership will carry on from the 360 to the Xbox One.
Finally, Microsoft will give each Gold member two free games every month, starting with Assassin’s Creed two, and Halo 3.
Microsoft gave a little glimpse into the next-gen XboxLive, including a DVR, and Twitch.TV connectivity.
Now, on to the exclusives, World of Tanks showed it’s self well, and announced it will be free for XboxLive Gold members. Releasing this summer.
Crytek’s Ryse: Son of Rome was then shown.
Killer Instinct is coming back!
Interesting prospect Sunset Overdrive from Sony-backed Insomniac Games
Dark Souls II is coming to Xbox One – But I suspect it will also come to PS4 and PC
Surprising to many people, both at home and in the press conference, Dead Rising 3 was announced as an “Open-Word” zombie game, something gamers have felt that the world was lacking in.
Microsoft then brought CD projekt to the stage and announced the non-exclusive Witcher 3, I suspect this game coming out for PC and PS4 as well.
DICE then came out and shown new single-player footage of Battlefield 4.
DICE also told Battlefield 4′s first DLC will be out on Xbox One first.
Then, The newest Halo game was announced, however, 343 industries did not call it Halo 5. Simply, Halo.
Microsoft then realeased the price, it’s €/$ 499, which is pretty steep.
In conclusion, Respawn Entertainment’s highly anticipated game, Titanfall was finally shown to the world as a new Xbox One exclusive.
What did you all think of the Press Conference? What did you think of the exclusives?
